Will Thorndike

Will Thorndike is the Managing Partner of Cromwell Harbor, a long-term investment firm. He previously founded Housatonic Partners ($1.5B AUM), a pioneering private equity firm known for its unusually long holding periods and leadership in the search fund space. Over the past 25 years, he has invested in the majority of the top 20 search fund outcomes to date.

Will is also the co-founder of Compounding Lab, a consolidation-focused investment platform, and a lead investor in Banyan Software. He serves as Chairman of CNX Resources (NYSE: CNX) and Co-Chairman of EverArc Holdings (LSE: EVRA), and sits on the boards of several private companies, including QMC Telecom.

In addition, he is a Research Advisor to Wellington Management, co-founder of Sun Mountain Partners, and a trustee of several organizations, including WGBH, College of the Atlantic, and the Land and Garden Preserve. Will is President of David R. Godine, Publisher, and co-founded The Singleton Prize for CEO Excellence.

A frequent speaker at Harvard and Stanford, Will is best known as the author of The Outsiders, a widely acclaimed book on capital allocation and leadership, praised by Warren Buffett, Jeff Bezos, and Bill Ackman.
